‘Old Baby Grand’ by Marc Minkow and Dimitry Ivanov, English Lyrics by Vesper Lynd

Old Baby Grand is confused…
It’s used to be playing only the classic fugues –
It’s so afraid and shaking…
Now I am the one
Who plays it, haven’t heard of Bach –
Old Baby Grand,
Take it easy
Old Baby Grand!
Blue Baby Grand
It’s all new for you, but believe me –
Life had come up with some different rhythms..
It all takes some time – to get used to the jazz
And I feel sorry for you pal
Old Baby Grand,
Let’s take it easy, just take it easy
Old Baby Grand!
Jazzy Baby Grand for Lovers
One tap on the keys and the boredom will end
The sadness and sorrow will sink through the sand….
We’ll share the stories – a friend to a friend,
My old sincere Baby Grand!
Piano Lady

  1. Wow! I love that!
Bach will be turning in his grave.
Bet Jules Verne will offer praise.
Jazz on an old baby grand piano.
    Play on!

    PS Don’t hate me but:
“The sadness and sorrow with sink through the sand”,
    shouldn’t it read:
“The sadness and sorrow will sink through the sand”,

    Best wishes,

    Mick
