‘I Still Dream Big…’ by Yuri Loza, English by Vesper Lynd

I’m too old to change occupation

To learn through the pain and the scars

I probably won’t ever travel

To gorgeous amazing new stars

To me things are too complicated

So much I can’t feel any more

I celebrate birthdays belated

But I dream just as big as before…

That while sailing adrift

I’ll acquire a gift

Stumble over a fortune right at my feet…

In a different world

With a love to behold

At the open doors where someone’s waiting and loves and believes in me!

I can’t recall all the strangers

That I had befriended along

Countless sleepless nights going

At times when I felt so alone

Some folks to me are just boring

To them l look tired it seems…

With so many words outpouring

I’d rather stay home and daydream…

That by staying adrift

I’ ll acquire a gift

Stumble over a fortune right at my feet

In a different world

With a love to behold

At the open doors where someone’s waiting and loves and believes in me!

If best moments could be repeated

It still wouldn’t be quite all that…

Officially, I am over ’30’

And I am not giving up dreaming yet…

That while sailing adrift

I’ll acquire a gift

Stumble over a fortune right at my feet,

Of a different world

Of a love to behold

Of the open doors where someone’s waiting and loves and believes in me!
